The FX Community Unites In Opposition of CFTCs Leverage Requirements

Wednesday, January 20, 2010 - 10:41 am -- Abigail Degraff

The recent CFTC proposed leverage changes have received considerable attention since CFTC's announcement on January 13. Because the regulatory changes are only being proposed at this time, the CFTC is seeking public comment, and they have the ability to modify the proposed rules based on feedback received.

There has already been a tremendous outpouring of opposition against this legislation, and we encourage all traders to speak out and voice their opinions. We are proud to see so many traders uniting together and allowing their voices to be heard.

Thank you for your interest and help with this issue. On behalf of Interbank FX and the FXDC, we're working full heartedly to combat the proposed leverage limit.
